We welcome you to join us for the 2018 International Conference on Family Planning!
The conference will be held at the state-of-the-art Kigali Convention Centre, 12-15 November 2018.
The conference theme Investing for a Lifetime of Returns speaks to the various returns on investment family planning provides, from education and empowerment to economic growth and environmental health, as well as quality of life and wellbeing.
Abstract submissions are now closed for the 2018 ICFP. Thank you to all who submitted abstracts!
The ICFP received a record number of abstract submissions this year – a 40% increase from the 2016 ICFP.
Acceptance notifications for oral presentations were sent out by 1 June. Those whose abstracts are accepted as poster presentations were notified by 4 June.
Thank you to all those who submitted abstracts this year and to those who served as reviewers. And congratulations to all who received acceptance notifications! The 2018 ICFP will feature a very exciting scientific program.
Accepted authors must have confirmed their attendance at the conference by Monday, 2 July. If you did not confirm by this date, you will not be included in the program and will not be able to present your abstract.
We encourage all presenters to register for the conference by 31 August 2018, to take advantage of the reduced early-bird registration fee. If you haven’t received any notification about your abstract, please check your spam and/or login to the abstract module to view your status.

Important Advisory for 2018 ICFP Registrants
Please be advised that we have become aware that another organization is promoting and advertising a conference using the acronym ICFP and calling itself the International Conference on Family Planning. This is not related to our event in any way.
Our website, fpconference.org, and our official ICFP social media channels (Facebook and Twitter) are the only sources of information about the fifth International Conference on Family Planning, taking place in Rwanda in November 2018 and co-hosted by the Bill & Melinda Gates Institute for Population and Reproductive Health and the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Rwanda.
When the time comes to submit an abstract and/or register, please be careful to submit your materials through our website, fpconference.org.
If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to contact us at info@fpconference.org.
