As preparations continue for the International Conference on Family Planning, we are committed to making this conference the most successful one yet.
In addition to organizing the program, we are continuing to monitor for any potential risks that could disrupt delegate plans, such as the recent Ebola outbreak in Democratic Republic of Congo. In partnership with the Rwandan government, we are closely following the situation.
The Rwandan government and Ministry of Health have put all possible preventive measures in place, including screening at all entry points and ensuring surveillance, emergency management and health systems are prepared. The full public notice from the Rwandan Ministry of Health can be found here.
We take the health and safety of our conference attendees very seriously and we will continue to keep you up to date on the conference status through our newsletter and statements such as these. We remain eager to see you all in November for this important and long-awaited conference.
